Toddlin' Time is Moving to a New Day!

11 September 2017

Toddlin' Time returns to the Rockyford Library at the same time but on a new day, beginning THURSDAY, September 14, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Welcome back to all babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, and their caregivers.

Visit, play, and share. This is a drop-in program so weekly attendance is not required. Just come in whenever you can.

Last Harry Potter Movie Event on Tuesday, August 29

28 August 2017

Hard to believe that the summer is almost over.

At 1:00, the library is offering its last movie event for the summer, beginning with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 2). After a short break (and some munchies!), we will begin the second film of our double-feature day, Fabulous Beasts and Where to Find Them.

We will have popcorn and some bevereages, but please feel free to bring your own treats.

This is also the last day to donate socks for Dobby, which will be donated to a local charity at the beginning of September.

Don't forget to enter your name in the draw for a complete set of pins: one for Hogwarts, and one for each of the four Hogwarts houses.

Registration is Open from Drama Camp 2017

24 May 2017

Young people between the ages of 4 an 18 can discover a fun week of activities during the library's Drama Camp 2017.

This program encourages young people to freely express themselves and their ideas. It also fosters a strong sense of community while promoting a lifetime passion and appreciation for the arts.

Instructors from Calgary Young People's Theatre (CYPT) facilitate this day camp, which runs daily from 10 until 3 for five days, beginning Monday, July 3. To learn more about this amazing group, go to http://cypt.ca

The week's program culminates in performances by the group on Friday, July 7, beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the community centre. Everyone is welcome.

Wheatland Family & Community Support Services subsidize this program extensively, which allows us to hold registration costs down to $50 per person.

Parents/Guardians, please submit your child's completed registration on or before 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 21st. For more complete information, visit the Rockyford Library during regular operating hours.

Moms N Tots Gets a New Name

18 April 2017

Moms & Tots is changing their name to Toddlin' Time, effective May 3.

The group will continue to meet every Wednesday afternoon, from 1:00 until 2:30.

This better reflects the inclusive nature of the drop-in group, which is not just for moms but all parents, grandparents, caregivers, and their preschoolers.

Building Renovations

09 March 2017

Renovations in the community centre building today may cause disruptions to internet/wifi and telephone services.

We are, however, open and looking forward to your visit.

Remember that tonight is our Wine & Cheese, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The iPad raffle draw will be at 7:30. Come and see the beautiful art work created by local community members that is on display.
